Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer / Data Engineer (10+ years of experience) to deliver Capital Measurement Reporting and data modernization initiatives using Power BI, SQL, DAX, and ETL pipelines

Join a Capital Measurement Reporting data modernization program supporting regulatory and risk reporting initiatives within the banking sector. This role focuses on developing Power BI dashboards, running ETL pipelines, building reporting solutions, and supporting data-driven insights for Risk, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting teams. The environment is highly dynamic and suited for candidates experienced working with evolving business requirements and complex enterprise data environments. The position offers exposure to transformation initiatives using modern reporting and analytics technologies.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of advanced Power BI development within Banking / Financial Services
  • Advanced DAX, Power Query, and M code for reporting and data transformation
  • Advanced SQL and ETL pipeline development for enterprise reporting environments
  • Capital Measurement Reporting, Risk, or Regulatory Reporting analytics initiatives
  • Post-secondary education in data analytics or related field

Nice to Have

  • Power BI Service management
  • Version control using Git, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
  • Power Platform fundamentals
  • Python scripting
  • Process mapping and operating model documentation

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports supporting capital, risk, and finance metrics
  • Run ETL pipelines and support data transformation requirements using SQL and M code
  • Develop DAX measures for calculations, aggregations, trends, and comparisons
  • Work with data partners and Data Engineering teams to support reconciled data feeds
  • Develop reporting visualizations that support executive and regulatory storytelling requirements
  • Manage documentation supporting audit, validation, and reporting reviews
  • Utilize Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows and validation processes
