We are currently seeking a full-time licensed Journeyperson Electrician (309A or 442A)to join our Service Team in a Shift Coverage role in the Milton area. The ideal candidate is a reliable, skilled professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and provide technical support for the production line to ensure product efficiency and quality
• Provide shift coverage as required to meet client needs.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with ESA standards, company policies, and the Ontario Electrical Code.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for safety, invoicing, and client reporting.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure quality service delivery and calls to be handed off to next shift appropriately
• Maintain up-to-date certifications in Health & Safety, including WHMIS, Working at Heights, LOTO, First Aid, Arc Flash required.
QUALIFICATIONS / POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Valid 309A Electrical License in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades or Ministry or 442a License
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a service or maintenance environment preferred.
• Fault finding on electrical systems that include but not limited to Siemens PLC’s, SCADA(WinCC) Systems, AC/DC motors and frequency drives
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in electrical controls
• Proficient in electrical control schematic diagram interpretation
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Comfortable working independently and within a team environment and with various other trades/contractors
• Valid driver’s license and ability to legally work in Canada.
• Own a set of tools to perform routine tasks
SCHEDULE
• Full-time, Permanent Position
• Hours based on client and shift coverage requirements
• Current schedule: Continental 12 Hour shifts 8:00 - 8:00
• Week 1: Mon, Tues 12 hours Days / Wednesday, Thursday OFF / Fri-Sunday 12 hours Nights
• Week 2: Mon, Tuesday OFF / Wednesday, Thursday 12 hours Days / Fri-Sunday OFF / Repeating alternating
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position is part of the unionized workforce and compensated in accordance with the current collective agreement.
