Scope

Under the supervision of the Pricing Manager, the primary mandate of the Pricing Analyst is to analyze any trend, from products, categories, customers and suppliers. The analyst will be responsible for the creation, structure and management of the product database.

Responsibilities

Tool development
• Develop dynamic pricing tools and models to effectively meet business needs.
• Extract, process, and edit reports from Cognos and Power BI (Excel file, Access, pivot tables).
• Perform complex analyses of our current pricing, product, vendor customer data using Excel, Power BI, Cognos, and our internal and external databases.
• Analyze and interpret market trends in collaboration with internal teams for the purpose of developing competitive pricing strategies;
• Analyze data from a variety of sources to better understand pricing strategies, better structure our customer types, and better aggregate our products and suppliers.
• Prepare and present the results of the pricing and profitability analysis to management.
• Keep abreast of different methods of price analysis, industry trends, and database management
• Develop dynamic tools to improve database management.
• Participate in the management of the information of the database and ensure the compliance of the information found therein and propose solutions.Team Support
• Validate and approve pricing agreements on a daily basis to understand the pricing cycle and support the team as needed.
• Assist the team in preparing for IT changes on products, categories, customers and suppliers.
• All other related tasks.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in administration or related field.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite tools (Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams).
• Good knowledge of technological tools such as MS VBA/SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Apps.
• Knowledge of Cognos (an asset). • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the field and/or related field.
• Experience in interpretation, data analysis, database management, and dashboard creation.
• Programming experience (basic).
