Project Manager – IT Infrastructure Refresh Program

MatchBox is seeking a Project Manager - IT Infrastructure for a 12 month contract for our New Westminster based public sector client.

Project Manager – IT Infrastructure (12-Month Contract)
Deliverables
The successful candidate will be responsible for standard project and program management deliverables and supporting documentation, based on our PMO's standard delivery methodology. These include, but are not limited to:

1. Business Cases for assigned programs and projects, including the implementation phase work plan, budget, work breakdown structure (MS Project), project schedule, risk analysis, work package sequencing, and a high-level business case memo
2. Project Initiation artifacts — Project Charter, Feasibility Study Definition Document, Project Configurator, and Organizational Change Management documents
3. A comprehensive, integrated project management plan consistent with PMI practices, including detailed Communication and Risk Management Plans
4. Monthly Project Status Reports, filed in the organization's portfolio reporting system
5. Technical and Steering Committee meeting documentation (presentations, review materials, minutes, supporting documentation, technical memos, etc.)
6. Cash Flow Forecasts / Budget Updates
7. Project RAID log (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions register)
8. Deliverables from assigned projects
9. Project Change Requests, as required
10. Project Closeout Reports

Knowledge & Experience

• 5+ years of proven IT infrastructure experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science
• 8+ years of full-cycle technology project management experience, ideally including IT infrastructure projects spanning conceptual design, requirements gathering, system design, build, test, training, and cutover
• Experience managing projects with budgets over $2M and teams of more than 10 people
• Experience as a Project Manager in similar organizations in Canada is an asset
• Strong stakeholder management experience, with a proven ability to bring people together
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including experience presenting to senior management and executives
• A demonstrated sense of urgency and drive to get the job done
• Solid experience managing risk, change, issues, time, scope, resources, budget, and quality
• Experience managing complex contracts
• PMP designation is an asset but not mandatory; training and experience in best-practice project management techniques is expected
• Proven experience facilitating and managing consultation processes across diverse stakeholder groups
• Ability to understand broader program goals and translate them into supporting project strategies and objectives
• Ability to manage and coordinate activities and resources across interrelated program projects
• Experience developing and implementing technology projects and process improvement initiatives
• Experience gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements from business stakeholders
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams of technical and business resources
• Experience with or understanding of Organizational Change Management (OCM)
• Proficiency with standard MS Office tools, including Microsoft Project and SharePoint
