Welcome, we're thrilled you are considering joining the highly skilled team at Amherst Veterinary Hospital Learn More Amherst Veterinary Hospital is a busy, progressive small animal clinic located in Kitsilano/Point Grey in Vancouver serving the community since 1987.

We are a full-service hospital with long term staff, striving to provide excellent quality of care and medicine for our patients, excellent client service and a positive environment for our employees, where their knowledge/skills can expand.

We are looking for a motivated, responsible, compassionate individual with a strong work ethic.

The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a compassionate approach to animal care, multitask and be reliable.

If you enjoy providing exceptional client service and like cleaning and are experienced in animal husbandry then this is the job for you.

About the Role Are you a natural leader with a passion for animals and a knack for inspiring teams?

As a Practice Manager in the VetCare Community, you'll be the driving force behind a vibrant veterinary team, embodying our core values: Come Together as One Always Focus on the Patient Raise the Bar Engage with Empathy In this role, you will create and lead a collaborative team environment that fosters growth, engagement, and exceptional client experiences.

You'll use your empathy and problem-solving skills to swiftly resolve any issues, ensuring smooth operations and happy clients.

Your day-to-day will involve striving for operational excellence, managing team schedules, and supporting talent acquisition efforts by sourcing Locum DVMs and RVTs as needed.

You'll provide onboarding and coaching to new team members, conduct annual reviews, and offer feedback and support to help your team grow.

You'll also manage inventory, budgets, and all financial aspects of the practice.

You'll also make a splash on social media, shouting about all the great things your team is inspiring and doing.
