Vice President, Institutional Capital Raising About the Company A Canadian investment and asset management firm Industry Investment Management Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President for Institutional Capital Raising. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading capital formation activities and expanding institutional investor relationships, both within Canada and in select global markets. This pivotal role involves the development and execution of a fundraising strategy for a flagship open-ended real estate fund, as well as supporting capital raising initiatives across the broader platform. Key responsibilities include establishing and executing an institutional business development plan, and cultivating relationships with a range of institutional investors such as pension plans, consultants, endowments, foundations, and family offices. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will be an entrepreneurial and relationship-driven professional with a proven track record in institutional capital raising, particularly within the real estate, real assets, private markets, or alternative investments sectors. Strong institutional investor relationships, exceptional communication and presentation skills, sound commercial judgment, and the credibility to engage effectively with senior investment professionals and sophisticated investors are essential. Success in this position requires strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a hands-on approach to building and scaling a best-in-class institutional fundraising platform.
