Trillium Health Partners is one of Canada’s largest community-based teaching hospitals, serving the growing and diverse populations of Mississauga, West Toronto, and surrounding communities through the Credit Valley Hospital, the Mississauga Hospital, the Queensway Health Centre, the Reactivation care Centre (Church Site) and the new THP-UHN Reactivation Care Centre. Guided by our values of compassion, excellence, and courage, and through our strategic roadmap, Plan to 2030, we are creating a new kind of health care - defined not by illness, but by the health and well-being of people and communities.

Job Description:

The Clinical Manager, Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy, provides operational, clinical, and strategic leadership for Interventional Radiology (IR) and Fluoroscopy services across Trillium Health Partners (THP). The Manager is accountable for the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered imaging and minimally invasive procedural services, while advancing patient flow, access, staff engagement, quality outcomes, and operational performance across the program.

The portfolio encompasses Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, vascular and neurovascular interventions, and associated ambulatory and inpatient procedural services. These services play a critical role in supporting THP’s Regional Stroke Program, comprehensive oncology services, vascular care, medicine, surgery, renal, gastroenterology, and women’s and children’s services.

The Clinical Manager also provides leadership and operational oversight for the 24/7 Diagnostic Imaging Assistants situated within the Emergency Department. This team supports the coordination and flow of Diagnostic Imaging services within the acute care environment and represents an important interface between Diagnostic Imaging, the Emergency Department, and other clinical services.

As a key member of the Diagnostic Imaging Leadership Team, the Clinical Manager works in close partnership with Radiologists, Medical Radiation Technologists, Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging Assistants, and clinical and operational leaders across THP. The Manager provides leadership to ensure safe, timely, efficient, and patient-centered care while supporting effective workforce planning, service integration, quality improvement, and the achievement of Diagnostic Imaging and organizational strategic priorities across multiple sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of people management, including recruitment, development, retention, attendance, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Develop and advance interventional services readiness in alignment with THP’s Plan to 2030.
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff, patients, and volunteers in partnership with Employee Health, Safety & Wellness and Infection Prevention & Control.
  • Partner with staff, patients, and stakeholders to identify and implement innovations that improve service delivery and the patient and staff experience.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across interprofessional teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Plan and optimize service delivery based on patient and program needs, appropriate utilization, best practice, and evolving technology.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures aligned with the DI Quality Management System and THP requirements.
  • Identify and respond to quality and safety risks, leading improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Use performance data and metrics to inform decision-making, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead capital planning, including equipment selection, procurement, implementation, and installation.
  • Develop and manage operating budgets, ensuring responsible resource stewardship and achievement of a balanced budget.
  • Partner with the Diagnostic Imaging Leadership Team to lead program planning, annual work plans, service development, improvement, and evaluation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree in a health-related discipline required; Master’s degree in health sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline is a definite asset. Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) or College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum three years of progressive leadership experience and seven years of relevant experience within a hospital or Diagnostic Imaging environment preferred; experience in Interventional Radiology is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capability, including planning, evaluation, delegation, project management, and leading change.
  • Strong business and operational management skills, including strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and performance analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively with physician partners, nursing, allied health professionals, and operational leaders.
  • Strong capabilities in project management, negotiation, conflict resolution, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, Accreditation Canada standards, and relevant best-practice guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in complex, rapidly changing clinical environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, foster collaboration, and develop high-performing teams.
