This role involves strategic sourcing services team of Procurement professionals across the globe who provide knowledge and subject matter expertise to business units and functional partners.
Working with the Director, Global Procurement – T&O, this role will influence sourcing decisions, drive supplier negotiations through RFI/RFQ/RFP or direct negotiations, draft contract terms and coordinate review by centres of governance and the law group, drive cost savings and cost avoidance efforts.

Responsibilities
-Partner with senior management to proactively develop negotiation and contract strategies for high risk/complex and sensitive sourcing initiatives.
-Gather and analyze data to create playbooks and strategies to support the different business models for services contemplated or currently under contract and prepare findings for senior management.
-Develop and negotiate complex (strategically critical, high value, or high risk) contract strategies that will provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to businesses, and optimizing total value generated from the supplier base.
Qualifications
Must-have
- 2-4 years of previous experience with contracting best practices, business decision-making, in a Contract Specialist context with increasing scope of responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing requests and drive activities to completion.
- Post-Secondary degree/certification in logistics, business administration, law, purchasing and supply chain management or equivalent working experience
- Strong market awareness
Nice-to-have
- Applicable Contract Management, Procurement, Legal experience and/or certification
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. iValua, Coupa, Ariba, etc.)
- Finance and budgeting experience
- Experience in a financial institution
- Familiarity and experience with Professional Services
- Familiarity and experience with IT services
