Our family in Nanaimo, Hammond Bay is searching for a part-time, live-out nanny/family assistant to support with our 2-year old daughter who is in full-time daycare. Role would be split between: 1) household assistance (cleaning, meal-prep, laundry, etc.) and 2) childcare (daycare pickup and play 4-6PM backup for daycare closure and if child is home sick with a cold) Target rate $27/hr, but will flex depending on experience. Starting in Sept./October 2026 for 2-3 days - weekdays approx. 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Targeting Mon-Weds but open to working out a schedule if there is a good fit. We require someone with: - Experience as a full-time nanny working with toddlers - Comfortable caring for a child who is lightly sick - Experience taking on household tasks and taking initiative - CPR / First Aid certification - Their own vehicle / valid driver's license - Non-smoker - Prior work references / able to pass Criminal Record Check Note: parents periodically work from house and we have a dog - an australian shepherd If you are a compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy individual who is passionate about providing a nurturing environment we would love to hear from you.
