Position Overview
We are seeking two Senior Software Developers – Full Stack to support the development, integration, enhancement, testing, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical web applications within the Ontario Public Sector.
The successful candidates will have strong hands-on experience across Java/J2EE full-stack development, including JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL, Spring, myBatis, Bootstrap, JavaScript, REST/SOAP web services, Oracle SQL, and relational databases. Candidates should be comfortable working across front-end and back-end components, APIs, database integration, application architecture, troubleshooting, and Agile SDLC environments.
Experience delivering secure, scalable, responsive, and AODA-compliant web applications is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, integrate, test, debug, document, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications.
- Translate technical system specifications and business requirements into working, tested applications.
- Develop and maintain Java/J2EE web-based applications using n-tier architecture.
- Develop front-end interfaces and integrate them with back-end services and APIs.
- Design, construct, consume, and integrate RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines involving extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
- Develop database solutions and perform SQL scripting using Oracle and SQL Server.
- Work with relational database technologies and RDBMS concepts.
- Develop reusable, self-contained, testable software components and modules.
- Apply current software architecture principles, design patterns, and development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, deployment, migration, and production issues.
- Support application implementation, conversion, migration, and post-implementation activities.
- Participate directly throughout the Agile/iterative Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Conduct and participate in technical/design walkthroughs with project teams.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, SMEs, and other IT professionals.
- Develop technical and system documentation as required.
- Support continuous integration and deployment activities.
- Ensure applications are designed for performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Ensure solutions comply with applicable accessibility requirements, including AODA.
- Assist with reviewing, analyzing, modifying, testing, and debugging installation/deployment scripts.
- Provide technical assistance and support for software packages and applications.
