Int/Sr SAP Fiori & BTP Developer to Enhance Custom Cloud Foundry Applications for Automotive Client

About the Role

Our client, a leading Canadian automotive organization, is looking for a SAP UI5/Fiori and BTP Developer to join their Information Services team. This is a frontend-focused development and governance role supporting 12 custom dealer-facing applications built on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry. Think vehicle search, real-time pricing and availability, and warranty claim management for Toyota dealers across Canada.

This person acts as the on-site frontend BTP SME, bridging the offshore AMS development team with internal business, functional, and project teams. You'll own the frontend from design through governance - shaping enhancements, reviewing AMS deliverables, and potentially building net new applications as the roadmap grows.

What You'll Do

• Act as the TCI-side technical authority for UI5/Fiori and CAP/Node.js development across 12 custom dealer-facing BTP applications
• Lead design and consultation on enhancements before the AMS offshore team begins development
• Review and govern AMS deliverables. Ie, design, code, and test results to ensure quality and best practices
• Debug and troubleshoot complex production incidents across custom SAP UI5 applications
• Build and maintain enhancements using SAP CAP, UI5/Fiori, and Node.js on BTP Cloud Foundry
• Write technical specifications, requirement documents, and unit test plans
• Build and consume OData/RESTful API integrations connecting S/4HANA with custom BTP applications
• Collaborate with functional analysts, project managers, business stakeholders, and the AMS offshore team

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

• 5-8+ years of application development experience with solid hands-on BTP application development
• Production-grade CAP and Node.js - exhaustive, hands-on experience building and deploying production applications on BTP Cloud Foundry, not conceptual or KTT-level exposure
• Deep SAP UI5/Fiori development - architectural patterns, custom UI development and deployment on BTP Cloud Foundry
• BTP Cloud Foundry - hands-on experience with custom apps including knowledge of scopes, roles, and application security
• Strong SAP frontend debugging skills during critical production incidents
• OData/RESTful API integrations and microservices architecture
• SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), VS Code, Git
• Strong communication skills — this role mediates between technical and non-technical teams daily

• SAP BTP IAS/IPS for secure logons/SSO
• Azure DevOps for CI/CD

• Module familiarity: Warranty/Claims, VMS, MM, SD, FI, or Procure to Pay
