Lead the First Rural Firehouse Subs Restaurant!

We are looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager to lead the opening of our first rural Firehouse Subs Manitoba location in Brandon! This is a unique opportunity to build a restaurant from the ground up, hire and develop your own team, and become a leader in the Brandon community through exceptional hospitality, local partnership, and meaningful community involvement.

Location: Unit #1 - 1650 Park Ave, Brandon MB R7A 1J5

THIS LOCATION IS SCHEDULED TO OPEN DECEMBER 2026. Employment would begin ASAP.

Firehouse Subs was founded by two firefighters in 1994 and has grown to more than 1,200 restaurants across US and Canada. Our premium sandwiches are made with freshly sliced meats, quality ingredients, and our signature steaming process that delivers bold flavour in every bite.

What You'll Do

As Restaurant Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations while creating a culture where both guests and team members thrive.

You’ll:

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience and make every visit memorable
• Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team
• Set the standard by modelling Firehouse Subs values and operational excellence
• Drive overall restaurant performance in guest satisfaction, speed of service, sales, food quality, and team engagement
• Manage inventory, ordering, food safety, scheduling, labour and financial performance
• Recruit, train, develop, and coach team members and leaders
• Build a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture

Support Firehouse Subs in the Community

• Represent Firehouse Subs at local community events, fundraisers, and grand opening celebrations
• Build meaningful relationships with local organizations, first responders, schools and businesses
• Champion the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada by helping raise awareness and supporting fundraising initiatives that give life-saving equipment to first responders
• Be an ambassador for the Firehouse Subs brand by creating connections that make a positive impact in the Brandon Community

Availability:

Restaurant Managers must be flexible to support the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required. We believe in creating a healthy work-life balance and will work together to support your success both at work and at home.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years' experience in a restaurant supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a quick service environment
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Experience managing financial performance and reporting
• Proven experience recruiting, training, coaching and developing teams
• A strong work ethic with the curiosity to learn, grow and continuously improve

Training for Opening

As we prepare to open our newest restaurant, the successful candidate will complete a comprehensive paid training program at our Winnipeg Firehouse Subs locations before opening day.

During training:

• All training hours are paid
• Accommodation will be provided
• Additional travel and training details will be shared closer to the restaurant opening
• This hands-on training will prepare you to confidently lead your team from day one, with ongoing support from the Firehouse Subs senior management team throughout the restaurant opening and beyond
