Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to deliver business analysis and solution delivery using Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, and insurance reporting systems
This role supports high-impact initiatives across financial systems, insurance reporting, and corporate accounting environments. The Senior Business Analyst will partner with product owners, developers, testers, vendors, and business stakeholders to support solution delivery, system enhancements, troubleshooting, and reporting improvements. The position includes work on insurance management platforms, upgrade testing, Agile delivery, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple business domains.
12 month contract, Remote
Must Haves
- Experience in Business Analysis supporting financial systems, insurance reporting, and corporate accounting
- Strong understanding of risk models, financial reporting, or insurance systems
- 5+ years applying Agile methodologies with cross-functional teams for solution delivery
- 5+ years writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional troubleshooting, and coordination of problem tickets and bugs
- Reliability status eligibility required
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with loan management and underwriting applications
- Experience creating and leveraging screen recordings
- Ability to create and leverage screen mockups and visual artifacts using leading industry tools such as Miro or Mural.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for an insurance management platform
- Facilitate alignment meetings between business users and technical teams
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria in ADO
- Support upgrade testing activities and coordinate issue resolution with vendors
- Troubleshoot financial transaction issues and reporting inconsistencies
- Collaborate with development teams on solutioning and root cause analysis
- Support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional troubleshooting
