On-Call Casual Labourer – Drill & Blast SupportLocation: Stephenville, NL
Position Type: On-Call Casual
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00/hour + 4% Vacation Pay
Shift: Typical shift is 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Please note that as this is an on-call casual position, shift start and end times may vary depending on project and operational requirements.Integrated Staffing is currently recruiting On-Call Casual Labourers to assist our client, a full-service explosives company, on an as-needed basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit, and are looking for flexible, on-call work in a mining environment.About the CompanyOur client is a full-service explosives company providing drilling and blasting services to the mining and construction industries.Responsibilities

• Assist the drill and blast crew with general labour duties during drilling, loading, and blasting operations.
• Shovel crushed stone and gravel.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Pull loading hoses across work benches.
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned.

Working Environment

• Outdoor mine site, primarily located near Stephenville, NL.
• Physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
• Walking and working on uneven terrain.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Reliable transportation is required, as work sites are not accessible by public transit.
• Previous labour, construction, or mining experience is considered an asset but is not required.
• Must be available to work on an on-call casual basis, including varying shift times.
• Must successfully pass a 10-panel drug and alcohol test.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required client and site-specific safety orientations prior to starting work.

Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting of up to 40 lbs.
• Frequent shoveling, carrying, pulling, bending, and walking on uneven ground.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.

Required PPE

• CSA-approved steel-toe boots.
• Hard hat.
• Work gloves.

Dress Code

• Appropriate work clothing for outdoor conditions.

Safety Considerations

• Frequent lifting, carrying, shoveling, and pulling.
• Walking and working on uneven ground.
• Exposure to changing weather conditions.
• Strict adherence to all site safety procedures and PPE requirements is mandatory.
