Introduction

At Specialty Program Group Canada (SPG Canada), we are insurance entrepreneurs united by a bold vision: to aggregate strengths and deliver unmatched value as Canada’s largest Delegated Underwriting Authority Enterprise (DUAE).

We exist to satisfy insurance needs in our target markets faster, better, and even where others might not. We do this by uniting leading underwriting talent and specialty insurance brands under one coast-to-coast platform, delivering speed, service, and expertise at a national scale.

But what truly sets us apart is our people. At SPG Canada, you will be part of a collaborative, growing team that values innovation, professional development, and shared success. Our culture is built on entrepreneurial thinking, open communication, and a strong sense of purpose. We believe in empowering our employees to take ownership, contribute ideas, and grow their careers within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Our legacy MGA brands include Cansure, i3 Underwriting, Totten Insurance Group, Beacon, Anderson McTague & Associates, Mode, and Avro. Our value to our partners is further enhanced through our in-house claims management team, Specialty Claims Canada.

Together, we are building more than a market leader — we are building a place where talented professionals can thrive.

Broker Training and Relationship Development

  • Design and deliver structured training programs for broker partners on SPG Canada products, systems, and workflows
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with broker principals, CSRs, and business development contacts across the region
  • Act as a knowledgeable, reliable point of contact for broker questions, escalations, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate and attend Atlantic broker association events, conventions, and industry tradeshows as a representative of SPG Canada

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with the SVP, Business Development on regional strategy, broker segmentation, and training priorities
  • Provide broker feedback and market intelligence to underwriting, marketing, and leadership teams

Qualifications and Characteristics

You’re a good fit if you have:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
  • Demonstrated experience in broker training, business development, or a client-facing advisory role
  • Strong understanding of broker workflows, insurance distribution, and digital tools used in the P&C space
  • CIP, CAIB, or CRM designation is considered an asset
  • Confident and engaging communicator, comfortable presenting to individuals and groups of all sizes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable learning new technologies, including adoption and integration of Ai driven tools.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and self-motivation
