Senior SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise

We are seeking an experienced SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise eCommerce solutions built on SAP Commerce Cloud.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical developer with strong experience in SAP Commerce Cloud/Hybris, Java, Spring Framework, APIs, integrations, build and deployment processes, and production support. This role will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients to deliver enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the stability and performance of live commerce applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) applications and custom extensions.
• Develop and enhance OCC APIs, integrations, storefront functionality, and Backoffice customizations.
• Configure and maintain local development and build environments.
• Perform application builds, troubleshoot build failures, and support deployments across multiple environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation.
• Configure and manage Solr indexing, CronJobs, Impex scripts, FlexibleSearch, WCMS, and data synchronization processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and support tickets within established SLA timelines.
• Monitor application health and validate system functionality following SAP planned maintenance and production deployments.
• Investigate and resolve application performance, functionality, integration, and environment-related issues.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, troubleshooting sessions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and production support documentation.
• Ensure solutions adhere to development standards, security requirements, and SAP Commerce Cloud best practices.

Must Haves

• Strong hands-on experience developing solutions using SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and J2EE technologies.
• Solid understanding of SAP Commerce architecture, custom extensions, and platform customization.
• Hands-on experience with:
• OCC APIs
• Impex
• FlexibleSearch
• WCMS
• CronJobs
• Solr/Search configuration
• Backoffice customization
• Experience setting up local development/build environments and supporting application deployments.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Ant, Jenkins, or comparable build and deployment tools.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP web services, APIs, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Experience supporting live production applications, including incident investigation and resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spartacus or SAP Commerce composable storefront architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD automation.
• Experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, CRM, or other enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting large-scale, high-volume enterprise eCommerce environments.
