POSITION SUMMARY:
Family Strengthening Team Leaders provide direction, leadership, and support to staff within their team for professional and integrated services delivery and ensure adequate support is provided as well as a broad range of staff training and development. Working closely with teams, the team leader will utilize their child welfare experience to assist in assessing the strengths and risks associated with the connections that are being supported and determining the level of intervention or support that is required for each family as a result of these assessments.
The Family Strengthening program recognizes the importance of keeping children who are in foster care connected to their families by promoting meaningful family time through supported family visits. The program provides families with support – not just supervision – and constructive, strengths-based feedback to help them have successful visits.
