The Position: Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent and working closely to the HR Systems & Process Advisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for the administration of various human resources functions and processes including benefits to employees and retirees.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer benefits and reimbursement programs by responding to employee inquiries, updating enrolments, changes and terminations with third-party carriers and insurers, and acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.

Process payroll and timekeeping inputs, review information for completeness and accuracy and follow up on missing or incorrect employee data.

Maintain accurate employee schedules, timekeeping records and related HRIS updates in accordance with established processes.

Maintain electronic employee files and HR records, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, confidential and filed in accordance with established retention practices.

Completing various administrative tasks such as invoice payment, ordering and maintaining office supply stock, filing, etc.

Organizing various events including holiday parties, service awards, on-site meetings, etc.

Providing day-to-day support to the HR Department as required.

Skills and Qualifications: The ideal Candidate will have:

Three (3) years of administrative experience in an office environment, including data entry, records management or payroll support

A diploma in business administration or a related field is an asset. A combination of education and relevant administrative experience will be considered.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Well-developed organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage their workload

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Previous experience working in HR or payroll department considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive total compensation package including:

Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; and

Annual compensation of CAD$63,000 to CAD$80,000.
