Right now we are looking for a Registered Nurse

to work with our

Acute Inpatient Medicine Unit, 14East- Stroke & Medicine.

Employment Status: Permanent Full-Time

Reporting Relationship:

Manager of 14 East

Hourly Rate:

$41.15 - $58.98

Union Group:

ONA

Hours of work:

Rotating shifts, 12 hours, days/nights/weekends

Location:

Humber River Health, Wilson site

Position Responsibilities:

R.N. responsibilities general medicine, geriatricand stroke

Care planning and coordination of care with various team members.

Utilization of computerized systems for patient care documentation.

Participation in project teams or hospital committees as required.

Resource/team leader responsibilities.

Mentorship of new hires and pre-grad nursing students.

Qualifications:

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Current BCLS certification or an agreement to obtain within 3 months of commencement into the position.

2 years acute medical/surgical Inpatient experience preferred.

Demonstrated patient assessment skills (Advance Physical Assessment)

Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities, sound problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.

Excellent patient/family teaching skills and an ability to promote family centered care.

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.

Computer skills required.

Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
