This leadership role is responsible for overseeing vehicle flow, transportation planning, inventory management, and operational performance across Hyundai Auto Canada and Kia Canada wholesale distribution operations. The successful candidate will work closely with compound operators, trucking providers, OEM partners, and internal stakeholders to optimize network performance, improve customer service, and ensure operational excellence throughout the finished vehicle logistics network.

Working closely with Hyundai Auto Canada, Kia Canada, compound operators, trucking providers, and internal teams, the successful candidate will lead forecasting, operational planning, customer reporting, process improvements, and business partner management while ensuring wholesale targets and customer expectations are achieved.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced logistics professional looking to lead transportation operations, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in Canada's automotive distribution network.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

Lead finished vehicle logistics operations across compounds, trucking providers, and wholesale distribution networks.

Translate customer forecasts and wholesale demand into daily, weekly, and monthly operational execution plans.

Monitor wholesale performance against customer requirements while identifying operational risks, capacity constraints, and service opportunities.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Compound & Transportation Management

Monitor vehicle inventory, allocations, releases, dwell time, compound utilization, and carrier performance.

Oversee trucking capacity, transportation planning, tender assignments, and dealer delivery performance.

Support compound and trucking partner onboarding, contract compliance, and operational performance.

Resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory issues, and vehicle allocation updates.

Performance Management & Analytics

Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs supporting inventory accuracy, wholesale execution, carrier performance, and customer service.

Analyze operational trends and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and network performance.

Support year-end inventory reconciliation and maintain accurate logistics data across departments.

Customer & Business Partner Management

Build strong partnerships with Hyundai Auto Canada (HAC), Kia Canada (KCA), compound operators, trucking providers, and internal stakeholders.

Lead customer meetings, communicate operational performance, and provide proactive updates regarding inventory, transportation, and wholesale execution.

Ensure customer priorities remain aligned with operational capabilities while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

5–7 years

of experience in

Finished Vehicle Logistics, automotive logistics, transportation operations, supply chain, or related operations.

Professional proficiency in

English and Korean

(spoken and written).

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing customer relationships and operational performance.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.

Operational Excellence

– Ensuring efficient execution across compounds, trucking providers, and the wholesale vehicle distribution network.

Inventory & Vehicle Flow Management

– Maintaining accurate inventory, allocation status, dwell time, and compound utilization while minimizing operational disruptions.

Transportation Performance

– Optimizing carrier performance, dealer delivery KPIs, and vehicle movement across the network.

Customer & Business Partner Management

– Building trusted relationships with Hyundai Auto Canada, Kia Canada, compound operators, trucking providers, and internal stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

– Driving operational reporting, KPI visibility, and process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
