Training Lead - SAP Plus

Summary

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a SAP Plus Training Lead on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the end-to-end training strategy for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program, ensuring employees, leaders, and business teams are equipped to successfully adopt new systems and processes.

Working as part of the SAP Plus People team, you'll develop and execute the enterprise training strategy, oversee curriculum development, coordinate training delivery across multiple business units, and partner closely with Change Management, Functional Teams, and the System Integrator to drive user readiness and long-term adoption.

• Location: Calgary, AB (On-site – Calgary-based candidates only)
• Job Type: Contract – September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2028 (approximately 22 months)
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Travel: Approximately 10%

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the enterprise training strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for the SAP Plus transformation program.
• Build role-based learning paths, curriculum frameworks, and training governance across all phases of the program.
• Partner with Change Management and Communications teams to align training with stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption strategies.
• Lead training needs assessments and ensure learning requirements are incorporated into program planning.
• Oversee the development of instructor-led training, virtual learning, e-learning, simulations, job aids, quick reference guides, and train-the-trainer programs.
• Collaborate with the System Integrator and Functional Teams to ensure training materials accurately reflect future-state business processes.
• Coordinate enterprise-wide training logistics, including scheduling, enrollment, learner communications, attendance tracking, and reporting.
• Support Role-to-Position Mapping activities by aligning learner audiences, training assignments, security access, and deployment readiness.
• Establish post-go-live learning sustainment strategies, including onboarding, refresher training, and continuous improvement of learning materials.
• Monitor training effectiveness, learner feedback, adoption metrics, and readiness indicators while recommending improvements to increase user adoption.

Qualifications - Must-Haves

• Significant experience leading training strategy and learning delivery for large-scale ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or enterprise transformation programs.
• Strong background in instructional design, curriculum development, adult learning principles, and learning needs analysis.
• Experience managing enterprise training programs across multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
• Experience coordinating training alongside organizational change management, communications, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, SMEs, vendors, and project teams.
• Experience planning and managing blended learning programs, including instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning solutions.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in large, fast-paced transformation environments.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and SAP business processes.

• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), Digital Adoption Platforms (DAP), simulations, and learning technologies.
• Experience supporting Role-to-Position Mapping (RTPM), learner segmentation, or security access readiness.
• Experience developing learning sustainment strategies and post-go-live capability programs.
• Knowledge of change adoption metrics, learning analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
