We are seeking a qualified and experienced ISO 50001 Auditor to join our Montreal-based auditing and consultancy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting independent audits and assessments related to ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management Systems), ensuring client organizations meet all certification and compliance requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field.
Certified ISO 50001 Lead Auditor (IRCA/Exemplar Global or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of relevant audit experience in energy management systems or related fields.
Strong knowledge of ISO 50001:2018 standard, energy review processes, and performance indicators.
Experience in industrial, commercial, or utility sectors is a strong asset.
Familiarity with other ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) is a plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
Fluent in English; French proficiency is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel within Canada and occasionally internationally.
Plan, schedule, and conduct ISO 50001 audits in accordance with international standards and internal procedures.
Perform gap analyses, surveillance, and certification audits on client energy management systems.
Evaluate energy performance improvements, risk mitigation practices, and energy efficiency measures.
Generate accurate and detailed audit reports, identifying non-conformities and providing actionable improvement recommendations.
Liaise professionally with client management teams to explain audit findings and suggest corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, sustainability experts, and compliance officers.
Stay updated on changes in energy legislation, standards, and best practices.
Promote ISO 50001 awareness and training within client organizations.
