Our client, is seeking an experienced, security-focused Specialty Developer IV (Cryptographic Automation & DevSecOps Lead) to join their core Crypto Solution Validation group.
In this high-impact technical role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying automated solutions and workflows that safeguard organizational data across the enterprise. Operating at the intersection of Security Engineering, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure Automation, you will evaluate, certify, and automate cryptographic services—including certificate lifecycle management, key management, digital signatures, and encryption frameworks. Working closely with enterprise DevOps, Security Architecture, and Operations teams, you will develop reusable APIs, tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows to seamlessly integrate secure cryptographic operations into enterprise pipelines and platforms.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (with high potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 3 days work from home; anchor days: Wednesday and Friday. Potential future transition to 4 days on-site)

ResponsibilitiesCryptographic Automation & Integration Engineering
Automation Workflow Design: Design, write, test, and deploy automated solutions for certificate lifecycle management (issuance, renewal, revocation, compliance monitoring) and key management (generation, rotation, distribution, escrow, retirement).
API & Tooling Development: Develop secure APIs, reusable automation frameworks, and integration tools to embed cryptographic services (encryption/decryption, signing, verification) into enterprise applications, infrastructure platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
Infrastructure-as-Code: Author and maintain production-grade automation scripts and IaC templates using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Terraform.
Solution Certification, Governance & Documentation
Solution Validation & Certification: Evaluate, test, and certify enterprise cryptographic products, key management platforms, and technical integrations to ensure compliance with risk and security standards.
Standards & Artifact Creation: Develop certification standards, test matrices, implementation guides, and operational runbooks to drive enterprise-wide adoption of certified cryptographic solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Security Architecture, DevOps, and Operations teams to ensure solutions are operationally sustainable and aligned with long-term security roadmaps.
QualificationsSecurity Technology Experience: 8+ years of progressive professional experience in security-focused technology environments.
DevSecOps / Security Engineering: 3+ years of direct experience operating in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software/Infrastructure Engineering with a heavy emphasis on security and automation.
Automation & Scripting Languages: 5+ years of hands-on experience writing production code and scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
IaC & CI/CD Tooling: 5+ years of experience utilizing automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.
Soft Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication; strong time and priority management discipline; highly adaptable self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Active CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) designation.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing automation for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), TLS/SSL, and certificate lifecycle tools.
Strong conceptual understanding of cryptographic primitives (symmetric/asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, digital signatures, key escrow).
Experience supporting and automating configurations across Linux and Windows server environments.
