The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC), established in 1964, is the national association of evangelical Christians in Canada, uniting individuals, churches, and ministries for shared impact and public witness. The EFC provides a collaborative platform for evangelical leaders to network, build consensus, and work together on initiatives that reflect biblical principles in life and society. Its mission is to “unite Evangelicals to bless Canada in the name of Jesus,” expressed through service, advocacy, and discipleship. The organization promotes the wellbeing of communities by encouraging cooperation among denominations and ministry organizations, and by supporting religious freedom and life-giving public policies. All activities are grounded in faithfulness to Scripture and are carried out with a focus on serving Jesus Christ and bearing witness to His kingdom.
The Financial Controller is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Ottawa, ON, responsible for overseeing the EFC’s financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. Day‑to‑day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing the general ledger, supervising accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies. The role involves budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flow, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights to leadership to support strategic decision‑making. The Financial Controller will also coordinate audits, maintain internal controls, manage financial risk, and work collaboratively with other team members and external partners. This position contributes directly to the stewardship of organizational resources in support of the EFC’s mission.
