Additionally, this role actively supports NAV CANADA’s Wellness Team, supporting a commitment to employee wellbeing and inclusive workplace practices. This role acts as a key liaison between employees, leaders, third party providers, internal wellness resources, and other stakeholders to promote employee wellbeing, and support sustainable workplace accommodations, reintegration outcomes, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and employee success. Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, the Specialist promotes an inclusive psychologically safe workplace by identifying barriers, enabling accommodations or redeployment solutions within established legislation, collective agreements, internal policies, and approval frameworks. The role provides integrated support across both Wellness and Disability Management functions. The Specialist will lead coordination on accommodation and reintegration matters, particularly where an employee may be unable to return to their substantive position and may require modified duties, alternate placement, redeployment, or broader organizational coordination. In addition, the Specialist actively supports and aligns with NAV CANADA’s wellness initiatives by contributing to the development and implementation of wellness programs, reinforcing a culture that prioritizes employee health, and prioritizing early intervention.
