You blend deep technical skill with operational rigor, mentor others, and standardize processes. You thrive in high-security environments, drive RCA for major incidents, and design for resilience, observability, and cost.

The Work

  • Engineer storage platforms (block/file/object) and data protection strategies; validate DR across RTO/RPO targets.
  • Own capacity planning, performance baselining, and SLOs; implement monitoring/alerting dashboards.
  • Establish secure hardware handling (chain of custody) and site readiness standards; coordinate vendor support and RMAs.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform/Ansible; integrate with CMDB and GitOps workflows.
  • Harden OS and platform configurations per ITSG‑33; implement logging, MFA, key management, and secrets handling.
  • Lead P1 incident command, post-incident reviews, and corrective actions; develop resilience and failover patterns.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, diagrams, and asset inventories; mentor junior engineers and uplift team capability.
  • Collaborate with Network, Security, and Cloud teams to land scalable, cost-optimized solutions; support FinOps.
  • Plan and coordinate change windows; ensure audit compliance and evidence capture for regulated clients.
  • Ability to work shifts/on-call; comfort working on-site in high-security environments.
  • Travel may be required based on client demand. Accenture promotes a client-centric, flexible work environment.
  • This role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Preferred location: Ottawa.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data center engineering or infrastructure team lead roles.
  • Advanced Linux/virtualization expertise and strong troubleshooting across compute/storage/network.
  • Automation with Terraform/Ansible and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
