About the role

The Welder position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide service and maintenance support to underground fleet of mobile equipment at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The position will be on an 14/14 (12 – hour day) roster and while residential is preferred we are open to Fly-In-Fly-Out arrangements also.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $104,000 to $135,000 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Repair and maintain all mobile equipment in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Perform welding duties using various welding methods (e.g. oxyacetylene, arc welding, electric arc equipment and welding rod, etc).
• Report any hazards or safety concerns to Supervisor.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As a Welder, you will hold a minimum of 2 years heavy industrial experience. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:

• Successful completion of a post-secondary institution in a welding program, or have acquired qualifications of the trade by progressively advancing through an apprenticeship program in order to become certified.
• Must possess a valid Journeyman Welder Interprovincial Certificate
• Be CWB-certified
• Valid Class G driver’s license
