Who We Are

Broker Canada is a proudly independent Canadian-owned and operated insurance brokerage with a long-standing commitment to delivering trusted advice, protecting businesses, and providing exceptional customer service. We understand insurance. Established in 1989, we’ve built our reputation on strong relationships, deep expertise, and a client-first mindset.

Today, we are a rapidly growing organization. We are scaling quickly—but intentionally—while maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit, accountability, and agility that got us here.

We are builders. We are evolving. And we are looking for people who want to shape what the next version of our organization looks like.

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-impact, builder-minded Insurance Systems, Training & Compliance Specialist to join our team as we venture into Ontario!

This is a grassroots role—a rare opportunity to step into a blank canvas environment where you will help define how we train, operate, audit, and scale. You will work across systems (including Epic), compliance, workflows, and service, acting as a connector between people, processes, and technology.

This role is designed to grow into a leadership function, with a long-term vision of building and leading a team. If you’re someone who wants to create, influence, and lead, this is that opportunity.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive Salary ($65,000 - $95,000)
  • Competitive Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Travel, LTD
  • RRSP Contribution (100% by the company - no contribution required by the member)
  • Paid Vacation
  • Work/Life Balance – This is a remote role
  • Be part of a high-growth organization
  • Step into a foundational role with real influence and ownership
  • Help build systems, processes, and standards from the ground up
  • Clear path to leadership and team development
  • Work in an environment that values initiative, ideas, and impact

Key Responsibilities

Systems Training & Support (Including Epic)

  • Design and deliver engaging training programs for new and existing users
  • Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and system guidance
  • Develop training materials, job aids, and documentation to support adoption
  • Act as a subject matter expert on workflows, system usage, and best practices

Audit & Compliance

  • Execute audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, brokerage standards, and internal policies
  • Identify gaps and proactively implement improvements
  • Build and maintain audit processes, reports, and documentation
  • Support regulatory readiness and foster a culture of accountability

Workflow Development & Optimization

  • Analyze how work gets done today—and redesign it for tomorrow
  • Build, document, and implement scalable workflows across systems and teams
  • Collaborate across departments to align operations with growth objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

Customer & Service Support

  • Support internal teams and external clients with timely, high-quality service
  • Solve problems, remove friction, and enable better client outcomes
  • Act as a trusted resource for process and system-related questions
  • Help elevate the overall service experience across the organization

Who You Are

  • Valid RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario)
  • 5 years minimum experience within the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience delivering training or supporting end users
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Are:

  • Resilient and adaptable — you’re comfortable with change, ambiguity, and evolution
  • Resourceful and proactive — you don’t wait for direction; you figure things out and move forward
  • A creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a constant flow of ideas
  • Energized by a blank canvas — you’re not here to follow a playbook, you’re here to write one
  • Curious and solutions-driven, always asking “how can we do this better?”
  • A natural builder and future leader who wants to grow into managing and developing a team
  • A collaborative partner who can influence, align, and bring others along

Preferred

  • CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) or CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation
  • Level 2 or 3 RIBO License
  • Experience with commercial insurance (strong asset)
  • Experience in audit, compliance, or quality assurance functions
  • Background in process improvement, systems, or workflow design
