Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an HSE Coordinator based in Burnaby, BC. The HSE Coordinator will oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, implementing safety policies, delivering safety training, inspecting work sites, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. The HSE Coordinator will work closely with the operations team to support a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and Occupational Health standards
  • Expertise in Workplace Safety and Safety Training practices
  • Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and risk assessment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Working knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations and compliance standards
  • Certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (preferred)
  • Valid safety certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid, or equivalent (an asset)
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
