10+ years experience in the environmental consulting industryPost-Secondary degree in environmental engineering, geology, science, or related discipline (B.A.Sc., B.Sc., B.Eng., M,Sc., etc.)Professional status (e.G. We are Making Sustainability Happen.As our newSenior Environmental Project Manager and Qualified Person, you will play an important role on our Land Quality and Remediation team in the Greater Toronto Area.RoleIn this position, you’ll take on project management and/or technical delivery responsibilities for a variety of programs related to the assessment, monitoring, management, and remediation of contaminated sites and excess soil management. With support and mentorship from SLR’s strong roster of senior staff, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of high-quality work to our varied clients including projects at a range of urban and remote sites including midstream, and downstream oil and gas facilities, commercial and industrial properties, federal and municipal owned sites, and provincial infrastructure sites (e.G., rail, road, power and other). Your knowledge and experience will be invaluable to our team and will see you working closely with your clients, maintaining satisfaction, building long-term relationships, and helping grow our portfolio of work.You’ll be involved in the full life cycle of projects including preparing proposals and work plans, coordinating and executing projects, providing technical leadership, managing budgets, client support and communication, data analysis and reviews, and reporting. At SLR, your demonstrated initiative and can-do attitude will be rewarded with responsibilities and opportunities that will challenge you and allow you significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.Responsibilities:Effectively delegate and oversee project tasks to manage small technical groups and technical programs, including all facets of project deliveryProvide strategic technical direction and lead decision-making regarding project technical approachesCommunicate directly with clients to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfactionAssist in mentoring junior and intermediate staff in project management/technical delivery/fieldwork/task management skills while at the same time being mentored by more senior professionalsProvide leadership in Health and Safety through open and positive communications with all staffParticipate in all facets of contaminated site projects including Phase I/One and II/Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation projects, Excess Soil management during both design and construction phases, field sampling, and reportingDevelop and oversee field (data collection) programs involving sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapour and/or remediation system operation and maintenance, and preparation of reportsFiling RSCs and Notices on the Excess Soil RegistryPlan, report and track schedules and budgets, all as part of project financial managementWorking @ SLRWith us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Qualifications/Education/Memberships:Post-Secondary degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or related discipline (B.A.Sc., B.Sc., B.Eng., M,Sc., etc.)Professional status (e.G.
