Payroll Specialist - 12 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Process payroll accurately and on time, following company policies and ESA rules.
• Review payroll completed by others to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain employee data in systems (ADP Workforce Now, SAP)
• Prepare reports (headcount, payroll, HR metrics, etc.)
• Support Finance with month-end and reconciliations.
• Assist with audits and year-end reporting (T4s, T4As, CRA reports)
• Respond to payroll questions from employees and external contacts.
• Support system improvements, upgrades, and testing.
• Create training materials and help staff understand HR systems.
• Review HR processes and suggest improvements.
• Complete other related tasks as needed.

About You

• Post-secondary education (CPM is an asset)
• 5+ years of payroll experience
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now (required); SAP is an asset.
• Experience handling payroll for 500+ employees.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex payroll issues
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong organization and time management
• Willingness to learn and grow

Pay Range
$75,000 - $85,000 / year.
