We help people make smarter shopping decisions with autonomy and accountability. With rising living costs, Flipp's mission is crucial. Our Shopper Consideration Platform allows retailers and manufacturers to create digital experiences from their savings & deals content, aiding shoppers in deciding what to buy and where to buy it. Together, we make a difference.

Our five principles, Progress Over Perfection, Clarity Through Transparency, Learn Loudly, Challenge with Empathy, and Always Build Better, bring a relentless progress mindset to life. They’re not just slogans, but they’re the behaviours we expect, reward, and hold ourselves accountable to. You'll be equipped to make an impact, realize your potential, and stay inspired every step of the way.

The Senior Accountant, North America (NA), is responsible for the day-to-day general ledger operations of the North American entities, covering the full month-end close cycle on NetSuite: journal entries, account reconciliations, payroll posting, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet review. The role also owns the monthly debt schedules for the group and supports the Manager, Accounting, in preparing the NA reporting package for group consolidation.

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

  • Own the month-end close process for North American entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet reviews.

  • Maintain the general ledger in NetSuite, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Prepare and reconcile payroll, fixed assets, leases (IFRS 16), and bank accounts.

  • Manage debt and intercompany loan schedules, including interest calculations and monthly reporting.

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for group consolidation.

  • Perform variance analysis and investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.

  • Partner with Finance Operations to reconcile transactional activity and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

  • Support external audit requests and contribute to maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with IFRS.

  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including ERP system enhancements and process improvements.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience as an accountant or in a similar accounting role within a structured organization.

  • CPA designation required.

  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS.

  • Experience with NetSuite (preferred).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed, and evolving environment.

  • Availability to maintain regular overlap with European business hours for collaboration with the Europe-based team.
