About the role
Arabian Private Holdings is currently supporting a major holding company as they evaluate the structure of their regional investments. This internship exists to provide the analytical support necessary to convert complex financial and operational data into clear insights for our principals. You will be helping us build the factual basis that informs high level governance decisions and strategic shifts across the portfolio.

We are an advisory firm founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities. We focus on clarity over complexity. We operate as a remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead or aggressive growth targets.

What you will do
  • Organize and clean financial and operational data from multiple portfolio entities to create a unified view of performance.
  • Build clear visualizations and dashboards that help principals form a view on specific business units or market opportunities.
  • Conduct research on regional market trends and competitor performance to provide context for active client mandates.
  • Support the audit of internal data processes to ensure accuracy in the reports provided to holding company leadership.
  • Identify patterns in large datasets that suggest areas for improvement in an operating model or governance structure.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing notes that summarize complex quantitative findings into plain English.
  • Maintain internal databases related to regional corporate governance standards and portfolio benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with the team in a fully remote environment to ensure analytical tasks are completed ahead of client reviews.
What we are looking for
  • A strong grasp of logical reasoning and the ability to spot inconsistencies or errors in data at a glance.
  • Foundational proficiency with tools used for data analysis, including advanced Excel and basic SQL or Python.
  • Curiosity about how large holding companies and family groups manage diverse business interests.
  • Precision in written communication, with a focus on being brief and avoiding unnecessary professional jargon.
  • The ability to follow complex instructions and ask clarifying questions when data is ambiguous.
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in finance, economics, statistics, or a related field.
  • A disciplined approach to remote work, ensuring that tasks are managed efficiently without the need for constant supervision.

Mentoring happens through direct contact on active mandates, where interns work alongside principals to see how decisions are made and defended. Since we are a remote firm, we place a high premium on candidates who communicate clearly and take ownership of their specific tasks.
