Department: Process Operations
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Process Operations
Location: North Vancouver, BC

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX

As the Senior Director, Process Operations - Enterprise PMO, you are the enterprise owner of project governance, responsible for how large‑scale cross‑functional initiatives are prioritized, structured, governed, and executed across the business. You lead a function that serves as the central authority for enterprise project standards - defining intake, ensuring rigor at each stage of delivery, and building the reporting, analytics, and insights frameworks that enable transparent decision‑making and predictable execution at scale.

You partner across Technology, Operations, Product Creation, Merchandising, Retail, Finance, and other business units to evolve our project governance model, modernize tooling, and embed KPI‑led performance management so the organization can plan confidently, align quickly, and consistently deliver on its highest priorities.

As Arc’teryx continues to evolve its Enterprise PMO capability, this role will be instrumental in establishing the operating model, tools, governance, reporting, and project management disciplines that enable scalable execution across the organization. While accountable for enterprise-wide project governance, the role will initially maintain a hyper-focus on Product Creation and the end-to-end Idea-to-Consumer (I2C) ecosystem, ensuring visibility, accountability, and performance management across seasonal product delivery, emerging creation pathways, and strategic business initiatives. The Senior Director will build the frameworks, KPIs, and project management capabilities required to support both established and evolving product creation processes while creating a foundation that can be leveraged across the broader enterprise.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is expected to be performed onsite. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team

The Process Operations team sits at the heart of Arc’teryx’s end‑to‑end value chain, leading enterprise‑wide alignment and advancing a culture of radical collaboration. We optimize the intersection of Product Creation, Supply Chain, Product Data, and Regional Go‑To‑Market, acting as an internal consultancy that identifies, designs, and implements process improvements and operating model changes.

We establish the company’s I2C/GTM rhythm of business by standardizing calendars and tools, clarifying deliverables and decision rights, and embedding KPI‑led performance management. We govern product data, modernize reporting, and build capabilities that provide forward‑looking visibility, better planning, faster decisions, and on‑time seasonal delivery. As an essential thought partner to executive leadership and cross‑functional teams, we deliver clarity, consistency, and cohesion.

If you were the Senior Director, Process Operations - Enterprise PMO now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

Enterprise Governance & Prioritization

  • Designing, implementing, and scaling Arc'teryx's Enterprise PMO capability, including governance frameworks, intake and prioritization models, decision rights, project delivery standards, and execution disciplines that drive consistent, predictable outcomes across strategic initiatives
  • Coordinating enterprise-wide priorities, ensuring a clear, transparent, and aligned view of what matters most to the organization at any given time
  • Running the executive decision cadence, owning agendas, inputs, outputs, follow-through, and communication across senior leadership forums
  • Establishing portfolio governance, KPI frameworks, and performance management processes for Product Creation initiatives, providing enterprise leadership with clear visibility into I2C execution, milestone achievement, emerging creation pathways, risks, dependencies, and resource constraints

Business Process Infrastructure & PM Foundations

  • Establishing the foundational PMO toolkit for Arc’teryx business process–driven projects, including playbooks, RACI models, templates, risk/issue frameworks, dependency mapping, and milestone governance
  • Assessing all existing project‑related SharePoint, documentation ecosystems, and workflows, then architecting the future‑state structure and logic to eliminate redundancy and improve usability across the enterprise
  • Building a consistent enterprise project intake and evaluation model, connecting resource needs, business case rigor, and strategic alignment

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Strategic Delivery

  • Leading enterprise‑wide cross‑functional programs and transformation initiatives, ensuring teams move in lockstep and deliver predictable, measurable value
  • Creating and maintaining a connected matrix of operational, technical, creative, and commercial partners, empowering teams to collaborate effectively and proactively resolve cross‑functional blockers
  • Delivering clear and concise synthesized project portfolio updates to senior leadership, articulating status, risks, interdependencies, and needed decisions

Process Standardization & Optimization

  • Driving process standardization across key operational and business functions -identifying gaps, mapping fragmentation, and enabling teams to adopt consistent ways of working
  • Developing a strong muscle around continuous improvement, establishing the Enterprise PMO as the hub for methodical, data‑supported operational evolution
  • Partnering with Technology, Finance, P&C, and Operational teams to ensure that processes, systems, and tools scale with the organization’s growth

Product Creation Portfolio Management & Enterprise Capability Building

  • Building and scaling the Enterprise PMO's Product Creation capability, establishing governance, portfolio management, KPI frameworks, reporting, and project delivery standards across the Idea-to-Consumer (I2C) ecosystem
  • Owning executive visibility into Product Creation portfolio health, including I2C execution, milestone achievement, emerging creation pathways, risks, dependencies, resource requirements, and seasonal readiness
  • Leading cross-functional alignment, governance, and project management support for strategic Product Creation and ad hoc enterprise initiatives, ensuring predictable execution and measurable business outcomes

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Leading the multi‑year roadmap to evolve enterprise process architecture, ensuring scalability as Arc’teryx expands globally
  • Owning and evolving the Enterprise Long‑Term Strategic Plan (LTSP) alignment between business priorities, project portfolio decisions, and resource planning
  • Overseeing global PMO maturity expansion, establishing consistent project management practices across North America, EMEA, and APAC
  • Leading high‑visibility cross‑functional special projects on behalf of the CEO, C-Level Leaders, or SVP Process Operations, ensuring enterprise alignment and executional rigor
  • Establishing a knowledge management center for project and process best practices across the business

Are you our next Senior Director, Process Operations - Enterprise PMO?

  • You have a post‑secondary degree in business, operations, engineering, project management, or a related field, with 12+ years of experience leading enterprise‑level PMOs or complex transformation programs
  • You bring extensive knowledge of the apparel, footwear, and accessories product creation lifecycle, with direct experience in functions such as Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, Product Operations, Materials, or related disciplines
  • You possess a deep understanding of seasonal product creation processes, stage-gate milestones, commercialization workflows, and the interconnected dependencies that drive successful Idea-to-Consumer (I2C) execution
  • You are fluent in the operational realities of global product organizations and can effectively partner with Merchandising, Product Development, Design, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Product Data, and Regional Go-To-Market teams to drive alignment and execution
  • You have demonstrated success translating complex product creation challenges into scalable operating models, governance frameworks, KPI structures, and portfolio management practices that improve delivery performance and business outcomes
  • You bring deep expertise in business process design, operational excellence, and cross‑functional project management, ideally in a global or multi‑regional environment.
  • You excel at building frameworks from scratch - where others see ambiguity, you see structure waiting to be designed
  • You have proven ability to partner across diverse functions (Product, Operations, Technology, Retail, Brand, Supply Chain) and guide teams through complex, high‑visibility initiatives
  • You have the leadership maturity to facilitate senior‑level decision forums: clear input/output expectations, structured discussions, and crisp synthesis
  • You are an organized, resilient, and proactive leader with a passion for process improvement and enterprise alignment
  • You consistently demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a results‑driven mindset
  • You thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments and are motivated by building clarity, efficiency, and predictability where none existed
  • You have exceptional communication skills - written, verbal, visual - and can simplify complexity for any audience
  • You are energized by empowering teams, building scalable systems, and creating long‑term operational foundations
  • You thrive in a fast‑growth, entrepreneurial environment; you inspire breakthrough thinking and build mechanisms that scale beyond any single season
  • You are a proactive problem solver with strong business acumen and persistent attention to detail; you identify root causes and implement durable solutions
