Shift Information:

· Days: Monday- Thursday- 6am-4.30 pm

OT Available

WAGE : : $26-31/hr.

Job Description

This position involves operating, basic programming, and maintaining custom robotic welding systems comparable to Fanuc and ABB multi‑axis robotic arms. Operators will use CypWeld software and robotic coping equipment to ensure weld quality, accuracy, and consistency across all structural steel components.

Responsibilities

• Operate multi‑axis robotic welding arms and robotic coping machines to produce structural steel components
• Set up machines and confirm that the correct CypWeld program is loaded for each component.
• Review daily production schedules and fabrication drawings to understand weld requirements, locations, and sequencing.
• Perform simulated dry runs on each piece to verify weld paths, robot motion, and configuration before execution.
• Move product through the production line using an overhead crane; rotate and position components multiple times to complete all required welds.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and compliance with structural standards; make adjustments as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1-3 years operating industrial robotic welding systems (Fanuc, ABB, or similar).
• Strong ability to interpret structural steel drawings and weld symbols.
• Understanding of welding processes (GMAW/FCAW), robotic motion control, and multi‑axis programming.
• Familiarity with CSA welding codes and structural steel fabrication requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edmonton, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
