Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Job Responsibilities:POSITION SUMMARY:Drive continuous improvement activities across welding, assembly, and stamping operations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Support process and tooling development, product launches, engineering changes, and VA/VE initiatives. Troubleshoot production issues, participate in quality improvement efforts, and maintain manufacturing documentation, including PFMEAs, process flows, and work instructions. Apply GD&T knowledge to support robust manufacturing processes.Salary Range: $92,000 - $102,000MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial EngineeringMinimum five (5) years of experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specificationsProficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorksExperience in project management and cost/quote development is an assetKnowledge of automotive quality and continuous improvement tools such as APQP and PFMEAStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work overtime as required to support production and customer requirementsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead manufacturing projects from concept through launch, including feasibility studies, equipment/tooling implementation, validation, PPAP, run-at-rate activities and engineering changes.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, ergonomics, and equipment performance through process optimization and problem-solving.Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing and quality issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, plant layouts, material flow, labor utilization and workstation ergonomics.Coordinate tooling, equipment, and production launch activities to ensure cost, timing and quality objectives are achieved.Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, PFMEAs, work instructions, layouts and engineering records.Investigate manufacturing and quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain related engineering documentation.Support automation and manufacturing systems through CAD layout development, PLC troubleshooting and process improvements.Provide technical support for customer quotations, capital projects and new business opportunities.Adhere to company values, policies, and quality / environmental management system requirements.Performs other duties as required.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESWork safely, ethically and professionally while supporting company objectives and values.Comply with all applicable quality, environmental, and health and safety requirements.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean and organized workplace.WORK ENVIRONMENTMust be able to travel internationally on occasion for customer related concerns or launch activity.Must be able to work in various locations within and outside the Manufacturing PlantMust be able to work outside of normal office hours to meet needs of assigned departments of responsibility with a Minimum amount of SupervisionLifting up to 20 kgsExposed periodically to elements such as temperature and noiseOffice environment within a manufacturing operationWHAT WE OFFERA great work experience with a diverse and dedicated workforceA strong focus on safety and health and wellness (fitness membership discounts, subsidized cafeteria, and year-round access to a private park)Six (6) paid personal daysSeven (7) paid sick/emergency daysThree (3) paid family emergency daysCompetitive extended health benefitsGroup RRSP matching programProfit Sharing PlanTeam appreciation lunches and eventsEducation Reimbursement ProgramContinuous Improvement and Development CultureAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
