Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Agency Role (Part-Time/Casual) Location: Shelburne, ON Setting: Long-Term Care Home Pay Rate: $21.00/hour About HealthOPM At HealthOPM, Our People Matter. We are currently seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for Part-Time and Casual positions in a Long-Term Care Home in Shelburne, Ontario . Position Overview If you are a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker who is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care, we would love to hear from you. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, resident-centred environment while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. What You'll Do Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Support residents with mobility, hygiene, dressing, grooming, and feeding as required. Observe, document, and promptly report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the nursing team. Follow individualized care plans, facility policies, and established best practices. Assist in promoting residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Support meal service and encourage resident independence whenever possible. Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards and workplace safety protocols. Foster a respectful, collaborative, and positive team environment while maintaining resident dignity and privacy. Qualifications Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program. Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last six months). Valid TB Test/Screening. Current CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset. Experience working in Long-Term Care is an asset. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to care. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience with dementia care, GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approaches), or NVCI is considered an asset. Reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality care. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset. Why Join HealthOPM?
