Banquet Server - Winter 2026/27

Compensation Information: $18.25 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

• Previous Banquet Serving or Bartending experience preferred.
• Serving it Right Certification.
• Excellent food and wine knowledge.
• Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to motivate and support employees.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.

Primary Responsibilities:

Service/Operations:

• Responsible for providing an exceptional Banquet experience from start to finish. Follows the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Banquet Standard of Service. Attention to detail from set up, event execution, and tear down. Assist with food and table preparation before the event begins. Set up buffet with food presentation standards and practices while ensuring food safe handling is in order. Food, wine and beverage knowledge. Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, open wine and take drink orders from Guests. Shows a passion for hospitality, service and food. Health & Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times. Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate.

Guest Experience:

• Deliver an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Outlets. Determine & ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, and removing dirty dishes from the tables. Brings any guest concerns to the Banquet Leadership team and or event organizers. Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks with the ability to promote internal and external events.

Team Commitment:

• Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration. Desire to be part of a team and contribute as such. Excellent communication skills. Complete all tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient event from start to finish. Clean up banquet room after the event ends and assist with inventory, food storage, and closing duty task as assigned. Capable of assisting in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Hotel.
