We are seeking a coop student to join our technology team for 4 (extensible to 8) months. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced Agile team environment and help us advance our cloud-based energy management and information systems. The Coop student will be primarily responsible for coding and/or testing enterprise applications (backend and frontend) per client requirements. What will you do? Requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, debugging and maintenance of our software applications Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting Follow our agile software development process Other duties as assigned What qualifications will make you successful? Essential Currently pursuing studies in software engineering, computer science, or a related field Knowledge of software development process and technologies Experience with Web applications, programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3 Experience with cloud computing platform and services Data modeling and database design experience. Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc) and API design for extensibility and portability Positive attitude, enthusiasm, self-motivation and commitment to quality Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team player is a MUST Ability to learn quickly Good problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills Desirable Basic understanding of software Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. Experience with working in distributed teams Experience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket Experience in Atlasian tools like Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence Let us learn about you!
