Who We Are

OCL Group Inc. (OCL) is a Canadian company that is privately-held and employee-owned. We are a fully integrated general contractor with construction and design-build solutions across Western Canada. Our Fabrication shop specializes in the design and fabrication of pressure piping fittings and vessels. Our expertise includes a wide range of alloy materials and specialized fabrication and welding processes. We pair engineering and manufacturing capabilities to deliver tailored solutions for our clients.

The Role

We are currently seeking skilled CWB Journeyman Welders for our fabrication shop in Fort Saskatchewan AB. Day and Night Shifts available.

Please note : This role is strictly for By-hand CWB Welders.

Compensation / Benefits

Competitive wage with excellent hourly compensation
Overtime after 8 hours per day.
6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.
Benefits after 90 days of employment (50% employer paid) - vision health dental paramedicals travel

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Perform high-quality welding using FCAW and MCAW processes to CWB standards

Interpret drawings blueprints and welding procedures

Weld structural components and materials according to project specifications

Ensure all welds meet or exceed CWB and internal quality requirements

Maintain welding equipment and a clean safe working environment

Experience / Education / Qualifications

Registered Journeyman Welder

Valid CWB qualifications

Current FCAW and MCAW tickets

Previous experience in fabrication shop and / or field work

CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (including WHMIS 2015)

May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test for certain sites

Must have or be willing to obtain necessary site-specific safety tickets and orientations

Class 5 drivers license with reliable transportation

Must be eligible to work in Canada
