About The Role

We're looking for an experienced compliance professional to play a key role in strengthening and evolving our compliance and ethics framework across Europe.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where you'll partner with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, providing strategic compliance guidance that supports business growth while maintaining the highest regulatory and ethical standards.

You'll lead the development and delivery of our European compliance programme, helping to identify emerging risks, strengthen governance frameworks, and embed a strong culture of integrity across the organisation. You'll also work closely with regulators, business leaders, legal teams, and global compliance colleagues to ensure we continue to operate responsibly in a complex and evolving regulatory environment.

This role offers the opportunity to influence business decisions at a senior level, contribute to major strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of compliance within a global healthcare organisation.

You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Act as a trusted compliance advisor to business leaders, providing practical, risk-based guidance on complex regulatory and governance matters.
  • Lead the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of the European Compliance Programme.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop annual compliance plans aligned to business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with business and legal teams to implement effective compliance policies, controls, and governance processes.
  • Build strong relationships with regulatory authorities and support regulatory engagement across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Provide strategic compliance input into business initiatives, change programmes, and cross-functional projects.
  • Prepare and present compliance updates, reports, and key risk insights to Boards, committees, and senior leadership teams.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively identify emerging compliance risks and opportunities.
  • Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability through communication, awareness initiatives, and training programmes.
  • Support the implementation of global compliance policies, including anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Compliance professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous professional growth.
  • Partner closely with Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to drive effective compliance outcomes across the region.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Significant experience within Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk, Legal, or Governance functions, ideally within insurance, healthcare, financial services, or another regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and governance requirements applicable to regulated organisations.
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance programmes, policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, jurisdictions, or international business environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts for different audiences.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • High levels of professional integrity, sound judgement, and accountability.
  • The ability to balance compliance obligations with commercial and operational priorities.
  • Professional Compliance qualification or relevant industry certification.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience within insurance, healthcare insurance, financial services, or broader regulated industries.
  • Additional European language skills, such as French, Dutch, or Spanish.
  • Experience interacting with regulators or supporting regulatory inspections and reviews.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary
  • Multicultural and hybrid working environment
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Employee Wellbeing Benefits
  • Educational Development Program
