We are seeking a Senior Environmental Regulatory Advisor to join our Environmental Planning team. This role may be based in any Jacobs Canada office or approved telework location, reporting to the Environmental Planning Director of Operations within the Americas East Business Unit.

As a senior leader, you will elevate Jacobs’ market presence, guide regulatory strategy, and provide high‑level advisory support on environmental planning, permitting, compliance, and policy matters. You will collaborate across business units, mentor practitioners, and help shape the future of environmental regulatory services at Jacobs.

  • Strengthen cross‑market collaboration with Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Energy & Power, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
  • Position Jacobs as a thought leader through conference participation, white papers, webinars, and other industry‑facing activities.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that leverages expertise across business units.

  • Partner with sales and program teams to engage senior executives at client organizations and strategic partners.
  • Serve as Senior Advisor or regulatory subject matter expert on complex environmental planning and permitting projects across Canada.
  • Lead and contribute to proposals, project delivery, and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee strategic investments in environmental policy branding, networking, and market positioning.

People Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and coach early‑ and mid‑career practitioners, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit leadership to attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high‑performing workforce.
  • Inspire teams by modeling Jacobs’ values and commitment to environmental stewardship.

  • Thought leadership — Ability to demonstrate internal and external thought leadership through publications, presentations, industry engagement, or similar contributions.
  • High-performance delivery — Proven ability to deliver results efficiently within a highly matrixed, fast‑moving, and complex organizational environment.
