Summary

The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel, warehouse operations, and inventory within their assigned area. This includes managing quoting, procurement, logistics, shipping/receiving, delivery, and maintaining appropriate safety stock levels. They ensure inventory accuracy and routinely monitor for obsolescence and/or serviceability. The Parts Manager also ensures internal control policies and procedures are understood, implemented, and maintained. They will support employee training at their location(s) and provide report on results as required.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage parts inventory, procurement, logistics, and inventory accuracy within SAP.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, pricing, warranty claims, RMAs, and cost control.
  • Ensure parts, tools, and materials are available for shop and field operations.
  • Lead warehouse operations, including inventory counts, compliance, and process improvements.
  • Supervise Parts Department personnel, including training, apprenticeship programs, performance management, payroll approval, and succession planning.
  • Set team goals, performance expectations, and support cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Manage the Edson Parts Department and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct customer and site visits as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas, inventory control, or warehousing, including management experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer systems
  • Effective communication skills across all levels (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and inventory management
  • Familiarity with emissions requirements (moderate level)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Working knowledge of compression equipment systems (e.g., pneumatic/electric starters, fuel, cooling, lubrication, ignition systems)
