Description de poste

We are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Building Envelope division. In this pivotal role, you will champion projects throughout their entire lifecycle—from identifying new business opportunities and managing the tender process, right through to successful project execution and closeout. This is a dynamic position that blends estimating, operational leadership, financial oversight, and client relations, requiring occasional travel to oversee remote project sites in the Territories. The right candidate will be a self starter with a desire to meet deliverables with minimal oversite.

Advantages
Leadership Opportunity: Take ownership of the envelope division's portfolio while mentoring and guiding a dedicated team of professionals.

Autonomy & Impact: Leverage your entrepreneurial spirit to drive business development, influence the estimating process, and directly shape the division's financial success.

Dynamic Scope of Work: Manage diverse, multi-faceted projects that include complex logistical coordination and unique travel opportunities to northern communities.

Relationship Building: Serve as the primary representative for the division, cultivating long-term, trusting partnerships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.

Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Management: Direct building envelope projects from initial business development and estimating through to final project completion.

Financial Oversight: Protect the organization's financial interests by managing project budgets, executing timely progress billings, coding invoices, and generating accurate monthly forecasts.

Contract & Risk Administration: Review contracts to mitigate risks and ensure all construction adheres to design specifications, approved budgets, and schedules.

Logistics & Site Coordination: Orchestrate complex logistics, including material takeoffs, equipment transport to remote locations (via barge), and crew travel/accommodations for site turnarounds.

Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and evaluate direct reports and site superintendents to ensure high performance and strict cost control.

Documentation & Compliance: Diligently process RFIs, Site Instructions, change orders, purchase orders, and shop drawings. Ensure all testing, inspections, and closeout documents (including As-Builts and manuals) are finalized and submitted.

Health & Safety: Actively promote exceptional building practices and rigorously enforce OH&S standards across all project sites.

Planning & Communication: Develop and maintain project schedules while facilitating transparent communication with senior management, clients, and subcontractors.

Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional Project Management experience, with a specialized focus on building envelope systems.

Project Execution: Proven ability to successfully navigate and manage multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Business Acumen: An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong capability for business development, estimating, and tender management.

Technical Proficiency: Solid IT literacy and a strong aptitude for utilizing project management and financial tracking software.

Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Summary
This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven construction professional who thrives in a leadership capacity and enjoys blending business development with hands-on project execution. If you are a proactive leader equipped with strong technical knowledge of envelope systems and a desire to grow a specialized division, this role is for you.
