About the Role:
Discovery Community College is committed to academic excellence and fostering a dynamic learning environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate on-site Health Care Assistant (HCA) Instructor to support and guide students and helping prepare them for successful entry into the healthcare workforce.
This position is primarily for an online theory course, which offers flexibility and can be delivered from any of our campus locations, including Campbell River, Kelowna, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, Prince George or Surrey. The role plays a key part in ensuring students receive a comprehensive, hands-on educational experience that meets both regulatory standards and industry expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, a supportive teaching approach, and a commitment to student success.
This part-time role Monday to Friday offers variable hours up to 34 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future advancements within the college. The position also includes a one-week summer break, providing flexibility and balance during the term.
Rate Range: $32 to $35/hour
Course Duration: June 23rd, 2025, to September 5th, 2025, with summer break from August 25th, 2025, to August 29th, 2025
