Telecom Construction Project Specialist
From the Field to Project Lead - Help Build What Connects Us!

Why this Role
Are you a telecom field tech or crew lead with hands-on construction experience? At Encepta, we’re looking for someone who understands how telecom construction really works, and is ready to take the next step into a role that blends coordination, communication, and continuous improvement. You don’t need a lot of office experience, just your practical knowledge, people skills, and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Reporting to our Senior Manager, Operations and collaborating closely with Project Managers, technical field staff, drafters, engineers, and municipal partners, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating construction activities and schedules with internal and external teams
- Managing documentation, permitting, reporting, and compliance workflows
- Communicating regularly with project managers, field techs, clients, and municipal partners
- Tracking project data, analyzing trends, and contributing to process improvements
- Supporting safety practices, technical standards, and quality expectations
- Visiting job sites 1–2 times per month for inspections or team collaboration

What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12–18 months, you’ll be:
- Delivering telecom projects on-time and on-budget
- Maintaining 100% accuracy of documentation
- Gaining ownership of tools, templates, or project components
- Contributing ideas that improve process efficiency and delivery speed
- Earning trust and recognition from both field crews and senior leadership

What We're Looking For
- Telecom Construction Experience: Previous hands-on experience in telecom construction is required. You understand the field environment, construction workflows, and the unique challenges of telecom infrastructure projects.
- Technical Foundation: Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in telecommunications, project management, or a related field.
- Project Experience: Experience in project coordination or telecommunications-related work
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort with project management software, GIS Data, Excel, and various data analysis platforms. Experience creating dashboards and project documentation is highly valuable.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical approach to challenges with the ability to implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency and quality.
- Nice to have: Professional certifications like PMP, MBA, P.Eng, P.L., PTech, AScT, CET, or CTech are valued for career advancement.

What's In It for YOU?
We know that when you grow, we grow. That’s why we offer more than just a job, we offer a launchpad for your career:
- Real impact: help expand critical infrastructure that connects communities across Canada
- Career growth: move from field specialist to project specialist
- Hybrid work model: flexibility to work remotely, in-office, and on-site as needed
- Competitive compensation: including performance incentives
- Comprehensive benefits: extended health benefits (dental & HSA), RRSP matching, cellphone allowance, learning budget, and wellness support
- Learning support: access to certifications, training, and a team that invests in your development
- Collaborative, inclusive culture: we value your voice, your safety, and your contribution
