Position: Journeyman & Apprentice Pipefitters/Boilermakers – (Fort Saskatchewan AB)




We are currently hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Pipefitters/Boilermakers (employees & DSPs) for a turnaround project and shop-based Fin Fan Retube scope in Fort Saskatchewan, AB starting early April, 2026. Experience with fin fan (air cooler) maintenance and exchanger work is required as part of the scope.




Project Details:




Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
Start Date: Early April, 2026 -ASAP
Scope: Turnaround & Shop-Based Fin Fan Retube Project




Qualifications & Education:




Journeyman Certificate or active Apprenticeship in Pipefitting/Boilermaker
Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including fin fan (air cooler) and heat exchanger work
Required certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, WHMIS 2015, Confined Space and Fall Protection
Preferred certifications: Elevated Work Platform (EWP), First Aid, and Rigging
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Successful completion of Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing




Skills, Attributes, and Responsibilities:




Ability to read and interpret Isometric Drawings
Experience with fin fan (air cooler) systems, including retube work, bundle pulls, and tube replacement
Hands-on experience with tube rolling / tube expansion and exchanger maintenance
Expertise in piping systems, including measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bolt-ups, torquing, and bending
Experience with mechanical disassembly/reassembly, flange work, and pressure boundary scopes
Exposure to hydro / pressure testing support and general shop fabrication environments
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in complex decision-making
Effective communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop or turnaround environment while meeting production targets
Ensure all work meets Canoco’s safety protocols and client-specific requirements
