StrategyCorp is seeking a Manager, Government Relations to join our growing British Columbia practice.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Position:
Manager, Government Relations (BC)
Location: British Columbia (Remote)

As Manager, Government Relations (BC), you will lead client engagements and help grow our BC practice. You will advise clients on provincial, municipal, and where relevant, federal government matters affecting British Columbia.

This role is ideal for a politically savvy consultant with strong relationships in BC and a track record of influencing public policy outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage government relations mandates in British Columbia
  • Develop and execute advocacy strategies related to BC legislation, regulation, and policy
  • Build and maintain relationships with BC Ministers’ offices, MLAs, senior public servants, municipal leaders, and key stakeholders
  • Provide strategic advice to clients navigating provincial and municipal government processes
  • Analyze legislation, policy, and regulatory developments and translate them into clear client advice
  • Support business development and contribute to growing the firm’s BC client base
  • Mentor associates and consultants and help manage project timelines and budgets

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, politics, or consulting
  • Strong understanding of BC’s political and public policy landscape
  • Experience engaging with provincial and/or municipal government in British Columbia
  • Demonstrated success influencing policy or regulatory outcomes
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams or managing client files
  • University degree in political science, public policy, or a related field

ASSETS

  • Registrable lobbying experience in BC
  • Experience with federal government relations
  • Bilingualism (English/French)

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
