Indigenous Student Internship Program
OG7GES and Candu Energy Inc. an AtkinsRéalis company have partnered on a program to provide Indigenous Students with experience working on mega-projects, while ensuring culturally safe mentoring.
OG7GES aims to give back to First Nation communities through our partnership and was established to become the preferred Indigenous vendor with our clients within the Nuclear, Energy industry. OG7GES provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement, Contractor Payroll and Construction services tailored to meet our client’s demanding requirements. OG7GES is currently involved within the Nuclear industry through multiple vendors, providing high-caliber individuals in a variety of contract positions, construction, and engineering services.
Candu Energy Inc. an AtkinsRealis Company AtkinsRéalis has over 70 years of global nuclear expertise, delivering nuclear technology products and full-service solutions to nuclear utilities around the world. AtkinsRéalis is the steward of CANDU® nuclear technology, operating on four continents, and provides advisory and engineering services to other nuclear developers. With an innovative technology portfolio, including access to over 500 patented solutions, AtkinsRéalis solves technically complex challenges across the whole nuclear lifecycle from design and new build through asset management and from life extension and late life management through decommissioning and waste management. AtkinsRéalis operates and manages government nuclear research sites, transforming ageing infrastructure and safely managing legacy nuclear waste. AtkinsRéalis is also involved in developing medical radioisotopes for cancer research through its partnership with TerraPower

Employment Conditions:
• Internships are coordinated by OG7GES
• 37.5 hours per week with flexible start times.
• Hybrid work conditions – 3 days in office and 2 days from home
• Condition of hire- pass Candu security clearance.
• 1 hour per month of mentoring from OG7GES
