Project Manager – Strategic Customer Programs
12-Month Contract (extension likely)
A large utility organization is seeking a Project Manager to support strategic customer connection initiatives within its Distribution Design and Customer Connections team. This role will manage a portfolio of high-profile, time-sensitive customer projects and collaborate closely with internal partners to ensure delivery against regulatory timelines and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, track, and report on multiple customer connection projects.
- Partner with Engineering, Distribution Design, Field Operations, Construction Services, Safety, Environment, Indigenous Relations, and Program Management teams.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and customer-facing groups.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, risks, and performance, providing regular status updates.
- Use MS Office and project management tools to support forecasting, reporting, and delivery.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical discipline.5–7 years of project or program management experience, ideally within utilities, engineering, or construction environments.Experience managing complex or high-value projects.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and delivery models.Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis / reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).PMP or equivalent certification and / or engineering degree considered an asset.
